Whether you’re struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, detox can be a very uncomfortable experience. Going through a medical detox at our alcohol and drug rehab, however, will ensure you’re as comfortable as possible while also receiving the necessary medication, like suboxone treatment, to ensure you don’t relapse right after.
During detox, you stop drinking and using drugs completely and go through all the withdrawal symptoms caused by addiction to those substances. As detox can be a difficult, uncomfortable process, we recommend doing it at our world-class treatment facilities. At our rehab facilities, medical industry experts will supervise and support you throughout your detox and help minimize your discomfort.
The amount of time you spend in rehab depends both on your individual needs and the type of program you’ve entered. While detox typically only lasts a week or two, residential treatment can last several weeks, while outpatient rehab can take several months. Newport Beach Recovery provides all levels of care.
If you’re undergoing residential treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, you will live at our Newport Beach treatment center. During your time at our rehab center, you will share a private room with one other person of the same gender who is also undergoing treatment for a substance use disorder.
If you’re attending a residential program at our rehab center, you will not be able to go to work or school. However, should you reside in Orange County and be in one of our outpatient programs, you will be able to live off site and maintain your work and school commitments while still receiving quality treatment.
Relapse prevention is an integral part of our treatment. Newport Beach Recovery Center puts ultimate importance on helping you maintain long-term sobriety and health. To do so, we offer extensive outpatient care and aftercare services and continuous counseling and therapy should you need it.
Family visitations are only allowed after an initial blackout period where no outside contact is allowed. After this, your family members will be able to see you during approved and scheduled visitation hours.
